This final event of Synchromy's Voices from the Hill takes place at Arlington Gardens' Urban Birds and celebrates the role of collective action in transforming neglected urban spaces like Elephant Hill. Once a desolate lot and former staging ground for the 710 freeway, Pasadena community members worked to transform the future site of Arlington Gardens into the community gathering space and host for native flora and fauna that it is today.

Natural Dyeing with Meztli Projects

Experience the making of natural dyes from acorn and oak galls! Foraged by Meztli Projects, participants will learn how to lure out the tannins and colors from these two oak tree offerings in the dyeing process.

Also, a perennial Urban Birds favorite, Wild Wings will be bringing their rescued raptors, a great opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the wonderful birds living on Elephant Hill.
